I saw this tree the other day. I am always so surprised when I see a tree full of ants and termites in the centre and yet in full foliage and living as though nothing was going on. We should be so tough!

This is one of my secret pleasures. I love freshly mowed hay! I get great pleasure out of seeing the bales and rows waiting to be baled. The smell is wonderful too!

Shortly after the fireworks on Sunday a family of ducks came swimming in looking for food. I don't usually encourage the granddaughters to feed them as I prefer they stay self sufficient but this was a special night and such a surprise to see them.

Finally made my way up to the cottage. Sunday night the sky lit up over the lake with fireworks to celebrate Canada Day .
