Credit River~ Fall Foliage~ SkyWatch Friday~ Scenic Weekend

Posted by Lorac Wednesday, 15 October 2014

I have been sad as I missed getting up to the cottage for all the gorgeous fall colours but there is some beautiful colour happening all around my town as well. I stopped in  at a local very old small cemetery that has a fantastic view of a valley and the Town of Glen Williams.
This cross was at the very edge of the property where the fence had been broken down for many years and a well worn path led up to it.

The Credit River winds through this town making it even more beautiful.

Intense colour and a beautifully quiet view point.

In the cemetery I found an old but bountiful cross and grave marker.

This beautiful Angel was watching over the yard. She look so pensive!

Happy Autumn to all who are out there~!

  3. Glorious autumnal colours Lorac - and I like the inclusion of the cross; it reminds me of who created all this for our pleasure. I also adored your post about your road trip to Italy - having spent a couple of weeks in Central Italy just a few months ago, your images struck a cord - there is still SO much to see and appreciate in our world. Thanks for sharing (and for calling by my blog).

  23. What beautiful scenery and foliage! Those yellow leaves really "pop" on an overcast day. Funny you and I both wound up in cemeteries this week! :-)

  25. PS. LOL - I should have said, "you and I both wound up VISITING cemeteries this week," since obviously we're both still above-ground and breathing. ;-)

  27. Laloofah - Good catch on words there! LOL I just remember the view from there at the last minute driving by. Haven't been there in years but oh so pretty!

  30. beautiful fall. Lovely skies :)

  31. Stunning golds interspersed with other autumn tones. The first photo with the leaning cross creates a beautiful sense of sadness in the scene.
