The sun seems to set slowly at the cottage on the lake. There is a true "dusk" that I don't often see at home. I was sitting down at the dock, watching as evening set in, a cup of tea in hand. This end of the day was "blue" although the day had been brilliant. I felt "alone", almost lonely, though there were many people up at the cottage. It seems colours can affect our moods. A grey day and we feel "grey", a sunny yellow day and we feel cheery. So is it the weather? or the colour of the weather that affects us?
Go see Lizzy Frizzfrocks amazing moon shot for Blue Monday!
Everything is slower at the cottage! I love it.
Jenn - I never feel better than when I am at the cottage.
Interesting question. I do think I'm affected by the brightness of the day but I'm not sure if colours change my mood.
Beautiful photo, Lorac.
I find I feel more introspective when the weather is blue. It makes me look closely in quiet awe and I usually find myself smiling in a contented way.
Grey days are just plain depressing, though.
So lovely. I live in a northern state, so as fall moves on we get shorter days. Light affects me more than color, but there is nothing like a beautiful sunny day. Or a rainy day when you need a rest.
that's exactly why i did yellow monday. :-)
Beautiful blue photo!
I think the weather definately affects the mood, but that is such a lovely blue sky, it should be for a happy mood.
Colour of the weather affect our moods more. I agree totally.
There is still much beauty in the quite somber place of blue.
I love that blue..and the idea of that cottage!
nteresting question. I do think I'm affected by the brightness of the day but I'm not sure if colours change my mood. How to make a website
