SkyWatch Friday!

Posted by Lorac Friday, 11 September 2009

At the cottage in Dorset, on Kawagama Lake on the weekend there was a little time while there was not the whisper of breeze on the lake. The lake became a mirror for a short time and softly displayed its counterpart, the sky.
Dappled clouds mixing with a turquoise blue sky. So very peaceful sitting alone on the dock enjoying the sunshine and the early fall warmth.

Looking through this bush into the water transformed into the sky. A soft ripple of a breeze and the sky becomes marbled.

Certain times the moon seems confused. It doesn't like to share the sky and needs to be pushed away to sleep by the rising sun.

The sun easily goes to bed and settles with a final beam of warmth into the approaching night.
So many beautiful skies and pictures await on the
Blog site. Go visit the wonderful hosts and posts there!

Delwyn -Thank you. You know how I love the lake and reflections. I truly had it all this weekend. Finally, at the end of the season, the weather has turned nice. We are feeling the cooler nights and a little chilly in the morning as fall approaches.

  28. What a beautiful spot for a cottage. I've always wanted to live right on the water but I sort of killed that dream by moving to Israel twenty years ago. Not much opportunity for a lakeside cottage here.

  37. What lovely restful photos. You asked me, in a comment about my totem pole photo, where you could find it in Woodstock. If you do Google Maps for 223 Norwich Ave in Woodstock (Heart FM 104.7 ) it will show a location right by a fork. Norwich Ave goes straight and Cedar Street veers to the left - the totem pole is in that triangle of land.
