At the cottage in Dorset, on Kawagama Lake on the weekend there was a little time while there was not the whisper of breeze on the lake. The lake became a mirror for a short time and softly displayed its counterpart, the sky.
Dappled clouds mixing with a turquoise blue sky. So very peaceful sitting alone on the dock enjoying the sunshine and the early fall warmth.
Looking through this bush into the water transformed into the sky. A soft ripple of a breeze and the sky becomes marbled.
Certain times the moon seems confused. It doesn't like to share the sky and needs to be pushed away to sleep by the rising sun.
The sun easily goes to bed and settles with a final beam of warmth into the approaching night.
So many beautiful skies and pictures await on the
Blog site. Go visit the wonderful hosts and posts there!

Yes, yes: your images are lovely and quite evocative. But your text is just terrific. Would that more bloggers combined the two so well.

Turquoise Diaries -It was marvelous to be alone with my coffee and camera for a while. I love being with the family but also enjoy a little time to myself.
Delwyn -Thank you. You know how I love the lake and reflections. I truly had it all this weekend. Finally, at the end of the season, the weather has turned nice. We are feeling the cooler nights and a little chilly in the morning as fall approaches.
What a beautiful spot for a cottage. I've always wanted to live right on the water but I sort of killed that dream by moving to Israel twenty years ago. Not much opportunity for a lakeside cottage here.
Robin - It is lovely. We built the cottage when I was 10 and I spent all my simmers there. Thanks for coming around!
Another great skywatcher!

Beautiful shots Lorac......thanks for ur comment on my blog.....nd I feel proud to tell u that web design and development is a very interesting filed of work.....specially for creative people such as yourself..... also i wud agree with u.... photography nd design are interrelated even though its a debatable topic.
A peaceful place as always....
What lovely restful photos. You asked me, in a comment about my totem pole photo, where you could find it in Woodstock. If you do Google Maps for 223 Norwich Ave in Woodstock (Heart FM 104.7 ) it will show a location right by a fork. Norwich Ave goes straight and Cedar Street veers to the left - the totem pole is in that triangle of land.
Christina - Loved the colour in your sky! Thanks for coming by.
Amit-Thanks for the advice.I will be around to vivt again.
Carole Anne -I have to agree. I find so much peace there even amongst the "family noise". It is so relaxing.
Elaine - Thanks for the directions. I will be sure to come look.
