I enjoyed the clear blue sky with the long houses, snow, and melting snow. Thanks for the nice comment on my SkyWatch post.
Very nice--I grew up next to the Seneca Res on the Allegheny River headwaters. Nice to see this sense of culture & history remembered.
PS: Powder snow packs very tightly, I think because of the geometry of the crystals--an avalanche, plow, or grooming machine will set it up very tightly (even though you can't make a snowball out of it). But moguls skiing are formed naturally, too, as the wind works the snow, like sand formed into ripples and dunes.
Fabulous blue skies and longhouses... hope the spirits sing there for a long time to come.
