SkyWatch Friday

Posted by Lorac Thursday, 17 March 2011

We are seeing a lot more sun now. Temperatures are on the rise and snow is melting. The birds are returning once again, singing in the morning. I am on the lookout  for the first Robin. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets at this time of year. With the time change we are seeing a lot more daylight and I am looking forward to spring this Sunday!

Happy St. Patrick's Day to all!
Leprechauns, castles, good luck and laughter.Lullabies, dreams and love ever after. Poems and songs with pipes and drums. A thousand welcomes when anyone comes... That's the Irish for you!

For Skies the world over go to SkyWatch Friday!

  8. Beautiful sky photo!! I used to think that robins went south for the winter. For the past two winters I've seen them here.

  13. Lovely sky photo! Last night we had a similar gorgeous sunset here in the West Coast of BC. Nice that we share sunsets ... even if from across the country.:)

  21. Longer days mean you have to wait longer for great sunset photos like yours It's worth it. The first birds usually to return in my area are the Red Winged Blackbird... and they're back.

we are heading into the tropical version of winter, it gets dark earlier but this old Canadian finds it hard to grasp the terms when it is still 27C in the afternoon

  25. We have seen robins and heard birds singing, but not much sun and warmth, yet. Thanks for reminding me that Sunday is really Spring. That helps!
