Bitter cold morning yesterday at minus 26 Celsius, but a gorgeous sunrise to go with it. On my way to work, this field was fire and ice!
We are in a deep freeze and today it is just grey skies with lots of snow and cold.
I have always loved the way the blackbirds flock together in fall and winter. They seem to do everything in unison. When they fly there are as if one and land on the hydro lines all in a row. I had to stop and get a pic.

I miss the suns warmth at this time of year. There are days it looks warm but it is just deceiving and is in fact bitter cold. That is what we have had lately. So to offer my homage to the Sun God I am making this week all about the sun. May warm weather return quickly this year!

Some really beautiful sunsets the last few days. I had to pull over on my drive home today to get this. I was taking pics of the sunset behind this farm and was surprised by a sundog in the far right corner!
Reflections from both sides of the river. Baren trees on the left and evergreens on the right.This was taken on a little foot bridge crossing the river. The wooden fence is cedar, used a lot for fencing as it lasts for years!

There is a nice little park in the small village of Belfountain in Ontario. Great place for a walk on a winters day. Here you see the reflection of the trees on the opposite bank, not the trees themselves.
