I have a question. It's about blog protocol. As I am new to blogging I am not sure what the answer is.That is how does one answer other peoples comments? Are you supposed to answer them on your site or do you go to their site and answer them? I have seen both ways on other blogs.
Which do you think is best?
What do you do?
ps: The picture has nothing to do with this post. I just like the pic! It is at Old Woman's Bay, Lake Superior

Its completely up to you Lorac...
I like to have conversations in my comments box if I can, others like to go to the sender or sometimes via email if it shows up. I occasionally use the email if I want to contribute something personal.
Happy Days
It's all up to what you want to do, I suppose. Personally, I think most people just go to the commenter's blog and post a comment there. That's what I do--unless they ask a question, then I try to email my answer.
You should do whatever you are more comfortable doing.
I don't know - sometimes I don't go back to the comment box therefor I don't see the response. I tend to email just because I know they get it and it can turn into a conversation. I have learned who does answer via comment box and tend to check back on those...
it is up to you.
If an email isn't provided I have gone to their blog and commented to. Don't think there is a set rule
I appreciate your help! Thanks to all!
I always try to go visit the persons blog and leave a comment back as a thankyou. Reason being it can be hard to go back and find the same blog again if your just skipping around, so even if they answer on their blog you never know.
Sometimes I answer comments with an email by google, if there is real questions asked.
Besides I love getting comments so I assume other people do too, but lots of folk do not comment back in anyway, its their choice.
Answer in the comment box, not everyone has a blog to reply on theirs. Also someone else may be looking for the same answer. I usually read comments to see if my answer is there before I ask a question.
I've always appreciated an email... as I don't necessarily go backto that post and open the comments again.
