It is SkyWatch Friday!
I have always loved the colour combination in this shot. The elements exude power! This is Old Woman's Bay on Lake Superior. Lake Superior is a very large lake and has been the undoing of many ships and boats as it can become unnavigable in minutes.
We had a lovely sunset last night. A day with lots of sunshine, no rain! One of the only humid days so far. I sit on my back porch and enjoy this view.
I like the orange and grey combination in this. I had pulled over onto the side of the road to take this picture. A minute later another car stopped for the same pupose!
Please go and check out all the wonderful posts and hosts at SkyWatch Friday!
I agree with you, the coluors in the first image is truly wonderful and the waves exude both power and peace. Of course are the other two pictures nice too.
You do have some nice sky watch photos for today.
Great photos, the bay looks like a great place.
You have got some great colour combos in these pics.
I especially like the first one, with that unexpected splash of green under those menacing clouds.
wonderful whitecaps on that beach!
It is amazing. this part of the continent. We loved our trip north.
I am amazed at the sun, wind and climate of this part of the earth.
Nice shots.
Hello Lorac
yes the top shot has a wonderful blending of greens and blues, with the diagonal slash of froth and white clouds... a great image...
Happy days
I'm from Minnesota, so Superior has always seemed like 'our' lake. I have spent a lot of time where we call the north shore. All beautiful shots, but I am partial to the very big lake.
Awesome sunset.
Sydney - City and Suburbs
Loving those photos - thank you !
Wonderful shots, Superior is the only one of the GL I haven't been in - but I'd love too, even just to dip a toe!
you have such a beautiful setting for a sunset. I think the sunsets in summer are so more intense than in the winter.
WoW...some very beautifully captured shots!
